Day 27 - Gleneden Beach to Schooner Creek

Where I Am Tonight:   North Bend        Miles Hiked Today: 4.8 (7.7 km)

Miles Hiked Overall:  235 (378 km)

Today was mostly spent driving down south to start hiking where I had previously left off in North Bend.  Everything from the Columbia River to North Bend is done now, except for the short hike I did today and one other hike that we will definitely get to at some point.

Today I hiked 4.8 miles from Gleneden Beach to Schooner Creek, which is on the north end of Siletz Bay

It was a nice hike at the start but very quickly the sea became angry (it's hard to tell in the photos bit the waves are FIERCE today!) which can only mean one thing...rain. So, not many photos today except for a very cute little hideaway that people have made from driftwood...made for a day just like today! I've seen many of these constructions on the beaches. There were not any boats in Siletz Bay due to the crashing waves.

Later the rain stopped and a little blue sky could be seen...which was good because these chairs were set up for a wedding that would take place in 30 minutes. They came out and dried off the chairs for the guests as I rested!

After admiring the seals on so many days I think I am starting to turn into one.  Love that fresh fish!
