Miles Hiked Overall: 257 (414 km)
Mike is with me for a few days now!! We hiked 14 miles from South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve to Bullards Beach. The weather was forecast to be terrible but it only rained on us for a few minutes, which was awesome. The first few miles were on a road through a very rural area. It was mostly gravel and just a few cars.

At Seven Devil's State Recreation Site we finally got on the beach. We timed getting around the jutting rocks at low tide so it was possible to climb over and not get wet. We also got to see some cool sea urchins in the tide pools.

The rest of the hike was a straight shot on the sand to Bullards Beach and the beautiful lighthouse on the Coquille River. The beach goes by the famed Bandon Dunes Golf Resort and we could see golfers up on the bluff above the beach so Karen had to practice her swing (with her hiking poles).
